Tomorrow is the opening ceremony and start of SEG 2018! Registration begins at 2:00 pm at the SwissTech Convention center. The opening ceremony will start at 5:15 pm. Energy Geotechnics, the book of proceedings which contains all the full papers accepted to SEG 2018, has been published and now on Scopus. The book is available through Springer here.

The digital proceedings for SEG 2018 have been published online here. The proceedings include the abstracts of all the presentations. Note, however, that the full papers are contained in the book of proceedings, available through Springer here.

Energy Geotechnics, the book of proceedings which contains all the full papers accepted to SEG 2018, has been published and is available through Springer here. For delegates and those who purchased the book during registration, you will receive a hardcopy during the symposium. The book will become available for free digital download on September 22nd.

The deadline for the first abstract submission is this week, on Thursday, February 15th, so be sure to submit your abstract if you would like to make a contribution to SEG 2018. Note that this is not the deadline for the full paper and extended abstract submissions, which is still March 1st.

We are thrilled to announce that over 200 abstracts have been accepted and confirmed. That said, if you haven’t submitted an abstract but would still like to participate, you haven’t missed your chance yet as abstract submission has been extended to February 15th 2018. Authors are encouraged to submit abstracts at their earliest convenience.

We are pleased to announce that we have been inundated with a large, and indeed nearly overwhelming, number of abstracts from all over the world (stemming from 30 countries across 5 continents). For this we are very grateful and would like to thank you all for your contributions. However, as we have noticed that we are still receiving abstracts even today, we have decided to leave the abstract submission tool up and running until November 20th just to ensure that anyone who wants to make a contribution to SEG 2018 has the opportunity to do so.
